who’s this weirdo?

“Angela was fun, funny, and a delight to have around – she made us laugh and put us at ease, which made us feel good on our special day and made the pictures look even better”

I'm weird. Real weird.

Hi, I’m Angela.

Let me be clear. I am not a cool photographer.

I am weird.

And my guess is that you are too. and that’s actually really cool.

I’ve found over the last 15 years as an Oregon Wedding Photographer, the more I embrace who I am, the more folks want to hire me and the more fun we have being weirdos together. you don’t have to try to be cool or know what you’re doing.

What makes you unique is what matters.

“angela makes you feel so comfortable by making you laugh and just being real”

Other Weird Things About Me:

Click through and see how far down this weird rabbit hole takes you.

I'm a Dragon Boater

For 10 years now I’ve paddled with the best team ever, The Highland Roosters here in Salem, Oregon and I’ve stuck around long enough to be promoted to Captain and Caller aka, I’m the one sitting at the front banging the drum and screaming loudly. It’s the best.

I Run in Fancy Clothes

For 6 years now I’ve been the founder and race director for a local fundraising 5K where everyone runs in formal wear to raise money to fight human trafficking. Sequins and sweat are a great combo.

I'm Alaskan Grown

Yep, It’s a cool place to grown up, no pun intended, but also a weird place. I have fed a moose out my front door, I’ve seen the Northern Lights but I only miss the snow at Christmastime.

I Love Costumes

Every year I create coordinating Halloween  costumes for my family. My husband, son and daughter all are on board and they always get into character with me.

I play D&D

I know, I thought Dungeons & Dragons was the nerdiest thing ever before I started playing too. But I’ve come around to really loving the improv and strategy involved and mostly just hearing my husband make silly voices when he DMs. My current character is a Level 11 Half-Elf Rogue/Bard named Chasiana Rey.

  • I’m happy to photograph, affirm and celebrate all couples, regardless of their age, gender identity, sexuality, race, religion or disability.
  • I’ve been working as an Oregon wedding photographer for over 15 years.
  • I’ve photographed more than 200 weddings
  • I’m married and have two kids (16 yr old boy and 11 yr old girl).
  • I’ve lived in Salem, Oregon since I was 20 years old but was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska.
  • I like pineapple on my pizza (gasp!)

What's with the Rooster and The Rose?

If I was an animal, I would be a rooster. Why?

Because they’re a little bit weird, can be loud and slighly irreverent and aren’t like every other chicken in the coop.

Plus I just like to make cock jokes.

But I also have a love for the sweet, sentimental and deeply meaningful things too and having Rose as my middle name fits that feeling perfectly.

Combined the emotional, romantic moments of a wedding ceremony + the wild and rambunctious celebration of the reception = you’ve got a rose and a rooster.

The perfect combo. Like you and your sweetheart.

So are you a rose or a rooster?
