I had the enormous honor of witnessing and photographing my LONG time best friend’s wedding ceremony over in Sisters, Oregon. When your an Oregon Elopement Photographer, the greatest way you could ever spend your birthday is photographing your best friend’s elopement!
Emma and Jason decided to elope on a hot day in July by driving out to the Dee Wright Observatory, 5,000 feet up in the Cascade Mountain Range in central Oregon. They exchanged vows amongst the 65 square miles of lava rock with views of 5 different mountains.
A big perk of eloping rather than planning a big wedding, is the whole day can be much more relaxed and casual. Emma and Jason’s day started with a chill picnic with just their closest family members. After some photos in the refreshing water, we drove up to the observatory for a sunset ceremony officiated by Emma’s mom.
On the drive back to Salem, we stopped to experiment with some astrophotography since it was a perfectly clear night with no moon.
If you’re thinking of eloping in Oregon and looking for an Oregon Elopement Photographer, hit your girl up!
