It was a very hot summer day in Oregon and it got even hotter the moment Jacob and Ashlee saw each other on their wedding day. We set up their first look in the gorgeous Oregon Gardens, an enchanting and serene backdrop for their wedding day. When it comes to wedding photos, the Rediscovery Forest and the surrounding Oregon Gardens is truly a photographer’s dream. With its meticulously curated garden grounds, we had so much fun exploring every corner and finding all sorts of beautiful locations for stunning shots. Ashlee and Jacob were incredible sports despite the sweltering heat, they were just thrilled to be getting married.

After portraits of the bride and groom we met the rest of the family in the shady trees. The ceremony took place in The Discovery Pavilion in the Rediscovery Forest which exudes a relaxed, almost backyard feel while offering the sophistication and charm that comes with a premier wedding venue. The ceremony space is nestled in a secluded area of the forest, where towering trees create a canopy overhead, providing a natural and intimate setting. The soft light filtering through the leaves creates a romantic atmosphere, perfect for Jacob and Ashlee to exchange their vows. After the ceremony, guests were invited to celebrate in the adjoining reception space, where the fun continued with donuts, lawn games and of course dancing!

Gathering with our loved ones and reading our vows to one another.

What inspired your wedding décor? Did you have a theme in mind?

Jacob and I both loves sun flowers. They bring us joy so in addition to some blues and greens, we will have sunflowers 🌻

Why did you pick the venues that you chose? What is your favorite feature about your wedding venue?

The venue is embedded in a forested area and we love to be out in nature. This is our happy place!

Is there any particular vendor that you are really excited to have for your day?

We can’t wait to have you (our photographer) there! We know you are going to make it fun and ease our nerves. Can’t wait!

Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests?

I think the arch with our flowers on it will be a focal point. It will have some rustic blue flowers, some greenery, and sunflowers.
